Rachel K, a French-Lebanese artist, has carved a unique place in the art world with her signature style that seamlessly blends childhood nostalgia and modern art. Her works are a reflection of her love for toys, her green mission to reuse childhood treasures, and her passion for technology. She creates stunning pieces that take viewers on a journey back to their own childhoods while showcasing the magic of the present.
Born into an artistic family, Rachel’s father was a sculptor and painter, and she grew up surrounded by creativity. In 2023, she stunned audiences with her latest exhibition “Dark Play: A Mobile Sculpture Experience,” a dynamic showcase of never-before-seen 3D sculptures at Ballroom Blitz, a hub of the underground art scene in Beirut. This exhibition marked a major milestone in Rachel’s artistic journey as she integrated robotic movement into her pieces for the first time.

“The late 80s and 90s continue to shape my artistic vision and influence my work to this day. From the vivid colors and whimsical themes of our childhood cartoons to the imaginative worlds of the video games we used to play, I am driven by a desire to tap into that nostalgia and explore the deep connections it has to our collective memories and identity. With each piece I create, I aim to evoke those timeless moments of joy and wonder, and to remind us all of the boundless potential that lies within us.” – Rachel
I take the memories of my childhood and the vintage toys I collected and turn them into modern works of art, bridging the gap between nostalgia and technology. My creations offer a window into the whimsical world of youth and the transformative power of play.
